Description	View on the Strait of Shimonoseki near south Japan, formerly called the Strait Van der Capellen. Good looking print from "Voyage au Japon", the French translation of the report by Philipp Franz von Siebold, one of the few westeners working in a Dutch trade settlement in the early nineteenth century. The illustration is in good condition, with bright colours and varnished.
